Fireworks brings together people in a way that no other can. It promotes community camaraderie and spirit. It’s the least expensive way to entertain thousands of people of all ages.

The magic of a great fireworks show is in it’s formula. It all starts with the music. We lay down a soundtrack with songs that almost everyone can relate to. This enables people to bring their own experience with these songs and project them into the show they are watching. People will start grooving and reacting to what they are seeing and hearing.  

This gives us the foundation to build the show using fireworks effects and colours that strengthen the emotions of excitement, laughter and wonder.

We fire our shows by hand, electrically, radio remote or a combination of all

What makes your shows different and how much does it cost?

All our shows are set to music and customized for the occasion.  

What do I get for my money?

A complete package fireworks show. We apply for the fireworks permit, resource consent and landowners approval. We put together the risk management plan for the event, measure safety distances to public and buildings and send copies to police, fire service and local council emergency services. We carry public liability insurance and a Health & Safety Policy.

How do you set-up the display and how long does it take?

It depends on the event, size of the show and circumstances. We have fired shows with mortars buried in sand pits, inside jumbo bins, strapped to waratahs (standards), on board tandem trailers and from pontoons in rivers and harbours. We have also fired effects from atop buildings, poles, over water and inside stadiums.

How long does it take to set the display?

It can take from 2 to 30 hours to rig a show on site. Some events require a 5 to 10 minute set-up on the firing site  so we pre-rig everything on tandem trailers, tow them into position,  run cable to a firing board, clear the vehicles and start firing the show.

What special effects can you do for our event?

We can spell the bride and groom’s initials in sparklers around a heart. Or provide cascading waterfalls and fountains.

Starshells can paint the sky blue, green, purple, golden or silver and burst on a particular note in the music. We can fuse roman candles to ripple across the sky or form lattice effects.

Ground mines can throw thousands of silver stars 30m into the air on cue. We can shoot roman candles through ring starshells bursting 70m high, provide supersonic booms, send screaming missiles into the air or light hundreds of Double Happy firecrackers.

We can do just about anything.

What sort of music do you use?

A whole range from classical to rock. A lot of music we choose is used at major international fireworks contests like Ode to Joy, Handel’s Watermusic, 1812 Overture, Theme from Shrek, Starwars, Moulin Rouge and Gladiator. We use Disney music, Maori, ACDC, Deep Purple, Elton John, Steps, Atomic Kitten, Joe Satriani, Baha Men, Bollywood, world music and more ...
